Updates/Fixes/Changes

The last week has been busy with the unused asset bloat cleanout. The download is just over 3Gb now. Down from 4.62Gb in version 1.9.2. There's still more to cleanout though.

There's a few changes, fixes, and additions also included this update. I'm trying to keep track of every change/improvement to keep you informed on the progress. See below for what's new in version 1.9.3.

  • Removed some game bloat (Download is significantly smaller now)
  • Removed UE4 Prerequisite requirement for the 64-bit version (Removed from the 32-bit version in v1.9.2)
  • Removed an unused save plugin
  • Removed support for Magic Leap Heads up display(Not needed)
  • Reduced size of 4k textures to 2k (4k was overkill)
  • Set game to run on DX11 as  default
  • Fixed most music overlaps EDIT: There's still reports of music overlaps. (Death sound will still overlap with the current music track only the first time you die)
  • Replaced M-1 tank models with new high resolution models in the tank hangar (Tank boss coming soon)
  • Fixed grenade spamming (Can only throw a grenade once per second now)
  • You can now throw grenades over the blocker boxes in the final boss room
  • Updated Legal Disclaimer on game start video
  • Updated title menu Legal Disclaimer
  • Added a few lights in tank hanger
  • Adjusted some overlapping lighting
  • Fixed shadows not rendering correctly on road paths
  • Re-added Readme and Cheat sheet .txt files to download (They were missing in v1.9.2)
  • EXPERIMENTAL - Added/changed some lighting to fully dynamic in a few areas to see how it looks/runs. It looks superb! Shadows look amazing!

Next On The Agenda

Performance/Framerate still needs looking into it. New models planned to go in. Working on some experimental lighting. Clean out more bloat.
